Once you start cutting, it’s kind of wild how fast the mattress begins to puff up. It’s vacuum-sealed, so as soon as the air starts flowing in, it comes back to life in a matter of seconds. But for the full effect, you’ll want to give it up to 72 hours to fully expand and settle into its intended shape.
